(Login for Information) is seeking an experienced emergency medicine (EM) physician to step into a pivotal leadership role as the facility medical director for our dynamic emergency departments. This role uniquely blends clinical practice with administrative leadership, offering you the opportunity to drive operational excellence, patient care quality, and team performance across two state-of-the-art facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical and administrative leadership: oversee both clinical operations and administrative functions to ensure the highest standards of patient care
• Team leadership: direct and mentor teams of physicians and advanced practice clinicians
• Advocacy and collaboration: serve as an advocate for patients, peers, and nursing colleagues, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration
• Operational improvement: influence and enhance processes to optimize operational efficiency and improve patient outcomes

Abrazo West Campus: Goodyear, Arizona

• Level 1 trauma center
• Annual ED volume: 47,000 (12% admission rate)
• 35 emergency department beds
• EMR: Cerner
• Coverage: 38 physician hours; 34 advanced practice clinician (APC) hours
• Additional features: Certified stroke and chest pain center, EM residency program

Abrazo Buckeye Emergency Center: Buckeye, Arizona

• Free-standing emergency department
• Annual ED volume: 31,000
• 14 emergency department beds
• EMR: Cerner
• Coverage: 24 physician hours; 12 to 24 APC hours

Requirements

• Emergency medicine training: board-certified or board-eligible in EM
• Privileges: must have clinical privileges at both Abrazo West Campus and Abrazo Buckeye Emergency Center
• Leadership and collaboration: demonstrated ability to lead diverse clinical teams and drive quality improvement initiatives
