A hospital is seeking a cardiology physician associate for locum tenens coverage.

The facility is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with at least three years of cardiology experience to provide outpatient coverage for a heart failure clinic during a 14-week maternity leave. The assignment runs from May 5, 2025, through August 16, 2025, with a Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, totaling 20 shifts. Responsibilities include interpreting labs and imaging, managing cardiac medications, and providing cardiac critical care support, with an expected patient volume of 6-8 per day. The provider will work alongside one nurse and one medical assistant, with anesthesia support available. The facility has 300 hospital beds, utilizes EPIC for documentation, and requires BLS, ACLS, ATLS, DEA certification, and a 120-day credentialing process.
