Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our hospital- employed Emergency Medicine team in Bangor, Maine.
About us:
- Level II trauma, tertiary care center serving the northern 2/3 of Maine.
- 36k patients/year encompassing all ages, highest acuity ED in the state.
- Low volume of ESI 4/5 patients, averaging 14 a day.
- Group consists of 18 B/C Emergency Medicine Physicians and 9 Physician Assistants. Dual physician coverage 24/7
- Care areas include the main ED, Behavioral Health, observation, and holding areas.
- Full support of medical specialist.
Position Details:
- Flexible shifts for work/life balance: 8–12-hour shifts from 7a-11p, 365 days per year – NO OVERNIGHTS
- Full-time status at 1652 clinical hours annually
- We use Cerner, Mmodal, Tigertext, and Vocera
- Excellent opportunity to practice independently at the top of your license.
- Ideal candidate will have completed an EM fellowship or have 2-3 years of EM experience.
