Job Description
The primary focus of the Nurse Practitioner is to help patients with sexual health and treatment options.
Details:
- Permanent, full-time position
- Provide consultation, diagnosis, and treatment of STD related medical conditions
- Post Exposure Prophylaxis and Pre Exposure Prophylaxis
- Examine patients, document medical history, records results and makes preliminary diagnosis
- Administers or orders diagnostic test, blood work, and interprets test results
- Performs therapeutic procedures such as immunization, injections, and managing infection
- Exercises professional judgement regarding consultation with medical director concerning appropriate treatment
- Develop and implement patient care plans
- Instruct and counsel patients and record progress
- Prescribes medications to the extent allowable by guidelines and regulations
- Provide health education regarding health maintenance
- Prescreen cases requiring review by the Medical Director

Qualifications
- Valid California Nurse Practitioner license
- Experience working with the LGBT community and familiarity with relevant LGBT issues
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum two years clinical experience preferred
