Nurse Practitioner Homestead, FL
We are looking for a motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our medical practice in Homestead, FL. We are looking for a provider who can join us on a full-time basis providing direct patient care within our two offices, in Hialeah and Homestead. The incoming NP should be comfortable working within an integrated setting, collaborating with a knowledgeable and well-respected team of professionals, to offer a comprehensive approach to patients living with acute and chronic pain.
The ideal candidate has physical medicine & rehabilitation training and will have the following competencies.
- Able to perform and interpret all Orthopedic & Neurological Tests
- Able to palpate and diagnose Trigger Points, and perform Trigger Point Injections
- Able to diagnose Joint conditions and perform Joint Injections
- Able to perform NCV’s and EMG’s Diagnostic Tests
- Able to be an extension of the Orthopedic Surgeon and Neurosurgeon

Duties:
- Patient exam/evaluation (medical history, physical exam, review pertinent med records/imaging)
- Order and review tests/labs including but not limited to x-rays, CT scans, MRI studies, computerized range of motion tests, computerized muscle tests, EKG, spirometry, EMG, NCV, blood tests, urine tests, Doppler Ultrasounds, etc.
- Calculate impairment ratings
- Diagnosis and treatment plan formulation - Prepare detailed patient treatment plans, progress exams, and final exams
- Patient education as to diagnosis, treatment options, rehab/exercises, and various modalities
- Manage patient care
- Treatments- perform large and medium joint injections & trigger point injections
- Documentation and progress notes- Prepare daily progress notes for services rendered and prepare reports of clinical findings
- Collaboration with the multidisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care
- Assist Medical Specialists (Orthopedic Surgeon, Neurosurgeon, Pain Management Specialist, Neurologist) with Evaluation & Management of Patients
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) program
- NP license in FL
- Orthopedic, Physical Med and Rehab, or Pain management background
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday
Compensation:
- $105k - 115k (depending on experience)
