Physician Assistant OR Nurse Practitioner Winter Haven, FL

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our medical practices full time in Winter Haven, FL. Ideally, we are looking for a driven Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with experience in pain management/ ortho, who can perform spine /extremity pain management injections, read MRIs/ X-rays, and/or be willing to learn.

 

Job duties will include seeing patients and managing care, recommending for therapy as needed. Depending on competency, performing Injections, Procedures, or refer to other providers in house. First assist the Neurosurgeons, if needed in Ambulatory surgery centers.

Duties:

  • Patient exam/evaluation (medical history, physical exam, review pertinent med records/imaging)
  • Order and review tests/labs
  • Diagnosis and treatment care plan formulation- refer for therapy, and/or additional treatments
  • Patient education as to diagnosis, treatment options, rehab/exercises and various modalities
  • Manage patient care
  • Perform joint injections and procedures
  • First assist the Neurosurgeons, if needed in Ambulatory surgery centers.
  • Documentation and progress notes
  • Collaboration with the multidisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care

 

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
  • PA/NP license in FL
  • Orthopedic, Physical Med and Rehab, or Pain management background
  • Experience with joint/spinal injections a plus

 

Schedule:

  • Full time (Monday-Friday)

 

Compensation:

  • Up to $130k (DOE)
