A corrections facility is seeking a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located 35 min from Boston, Massachusetts.
The position offers two schedule options: Monday to Wednesday, 7 AM to 7 PM for 36 hours, or four 10-hour shifts for 40 hours. The caseload includes 15-20 patients per day, along with monitoring individuals in the medical unit for observation. The patient population consists of adult males and females. Required certifications include BLS, CPR, and CSR with DEA, with FM or IM backgrounds accepted. Standard correctional facility procedures are expected, including treating coughs, colds, physicals, and possibly suturing. The provider will work alongside LPNs, RNs, and a part-time NP, with additional support from an HSA and nursing staff. Credentialing takes approximately one week.
