Position: Nurse Practitioner, Family Practice 

Site: General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital 

Shifts: 8 and 10 hour Shifts

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus | W2 / 1099 Options

(Login for Information). Is looking for Nurse Practitioners to support our mission at the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital in Fort Leonard Wood, MO. 

Qualifications: 

  • Degree: Master's degree in nursing
  • Education: Must possess a master's degree in nursing and have graduated from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
  • Certification: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
  • Experience: A minimum of two year’s full-time experience as a hands-on practicing full scope Nurse Practitioner in the last three years
  • Board Certification (5.2.6.4.4): The HCW shall have and maintain certification as a nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Shall possess a Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (BNDD) number as required by state agencies where the HCW is licensed.
  • Licensure/Registration: Possess and maintain a current unrestricted license to practice as a nurse practitioner in any of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands. The HCW shall have and maintain a current, valid, unrestricted DEA certificate and possess a Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (BNDD) number as required by state agencies where the HCW is licensed.  

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations.
  • Take detailed patient medical histories.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results.
  • Formulate differential diagnoses based on assessment findings.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments.
  • Provide counseling and education to patients on health issues and preventive care.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Document patient progress, treatments, and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Educate patients and families on disease management, medication adherence, and self-care.
  • Provide counseling on mental health issues, lifestyle modifications, and health promotion.
