Job Description
Medical Center is seeking Physician Assistants and Acute Care Nurse Practitioners to provide locums coverage in their Cardiac Intensive Care Unit
Must have at least 2 years of ICU experience
Cardiac ICU experience is preferred
Coverage needed includes (14) 12-hour shifts every 28 days
Primary need is for nighttime coverage-7pm to 7am
Options include 3–4 night shifts per week or 7 nights per week depending on locums preference
Opportunity exists to work weekend day shift 7 am to 7pm
Established team with high quality academic intensivists.
Ability to perform procedures including: Arterial Lines, Central Venous Lines, Intubation, Ventilator Management
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and diagnoses.
Develop treatment plans and order diagnostic tests.
Prescribe medications and therapies in line with scope of practice – provider must have a DEA license.
Collaborate with healthcare teams.
Provide patient education and follow-up care
