Physician Assistant Nurse Practitioner Philadelphia (West Philly), PA 19139
We are looking for a compassionate and energetic Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our urgent care center group in West Philadelphia, PA 19139. You will find a supportive and welcoming team to work alongside you within our fast-moving Urgent Care Center. The provider will be required to see and treat a wide variety of health care issues in patients of all ages in our busy center.

We provide services such as, physical exams, pediatric care, onsite labs, digital x-rays and diagnostic imaging, immunizations, occupational health, and treatment of acute/unexpected injuries and illnesses. We offer affordable care with minimal wait times, advanced technology diagnostics, licensed professionals, and supportive staff in our state-of-the-art facilities.
Duties:
- Performs and documents history and physicals of walk-in patients
- Evaluates and treats common acute conditions, illnesses, or minor trauma
- Performs in-office minor procedures
- Orders and reviews diagnostic tests, X-rays, labs, and bloodwork
- Consistently and accurately documents all calls, treatments, medications, etc. in patient chart
- Instructs and counsels patients regarding diagnosis and follow up steps
- Responds to all patient questions
- Assists physicians in addressing urgent patient needs as necessary
- Collaboration with the physicians, midlevel providers, and support staff for comprehensive care
- Performs other duties/projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Degree from an Accredited Program (PA/NP)
- Unrestricted PA/NP License in PA
- Prefer 3+ years’ experience as a PA/NP in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting
- Active DEA Registration
- DOT Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid ACLS & PALS certifications
- Child Abuse clearances and criminal background checks required
Schedule:
- 12-hour weekday shifts (8am - 8pm) and 9-hour shifts on weekends (8am-5pm)
- Full time, Part time, and per diem opportunities
- Weekend only shifts are available
Compensation (range):
- $55-$65/hour
