A correctional facility is seeking a family medicine nurse practitioner for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in Haynesville, Virginia.
The credentialing timeframe averages about 10 days from when the application is submitted. Delays can occur if candidates do not turn in all required documents. Once all documents are received, the background check can begin. A drug test is now required, and after clearance, candidates must complete online training, which may be done onsite or before starting, depending on the specific site. The position involves 40 hours of work per week, with the possibility of a 4-day, 10-hour schedule. The facility uses a paper system for most records but utilizes Sapphire for prescriptions. Candidates must have a Virginia license and Virginia DEA certification. COVID-19 vaccination is required.
