Job Description
Seeking a part time (2-3 days per week) Nurse Practitioner Federal Way, WA 98003
Assess physical, developmental, and psychosocial health status of patients through the collection of health data such as comprehensive history taking, physical examination. Assist patients to maintain current level of health and prevent further illness through health screening, identification of risk factors, and counseling
Routine Physical examinations
Responsible for managing individual patient within a family practice setting.
SOAP charting and Electronic Health Record proficient.
Diagnose and manage acute episodic health problems, as well as chronic health problems.
Pap tests and other women's health issues.
Actively work to solve problems/improve systems in constructive thorough manner.
Provide patient centered care.
Communicate and coordinate health care with Integrated Providers within the practice.
Prescribe medication and order other non-pharmacological therapies.
Support cooperative clinical initiatives. Seek appropriate and timely consultations.
Refer to external providers with consistency and protocols when appropriate.
Order lab, pharmacy, radiology, and special tests appropriately.
involve patient in management of care; facilitate patient self-management skills; provide thorough in explanations.
CREDENTIALS
• Master's Degree In Nursing
• ARNP Licensure with prescription privileges in the state of Washington
• ARNP certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
• DEA controlled substance registration
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers Certification (CPR/AED)
• Malpractice Insurance
• Minimum one-year of clinical experience
