Family Medicine - NP Hospital Based job located in Washington
Job Description
Seeking a locum Family Medicine physician in Southwestern Washington to start January 2025
• Contract length: 3 months-ongoing
• Shift Details: 8a-5p, 40hrs/week. 8 hour work day with 1 hour unpaid lunch.
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Support Staff: Dedicated medical assistant for each provider, receptionist, mental health therapists, dietitians, most clinics have an onsite pediatrician and local health care administrator they will submit timecards to.
• Patients per day: Family Physicians are expected to see up to 21 patients per day. May be less depending on cancellations, etc, but should be comfortable with higher volume and fast paced.
• Patient Population/Age: Newborns-Geriatrics. Provider should be comfortable working with all ages.
• Department Description: Community Health Center. Providers should have experience in these settings or express interest to work with vulnerable populations. They service migrants and refugees and have interpretative services available on site. Provider is not required to be bilingual, but would be a plus. OP ambulatory services, family medicine, walk-in/acute care services, chronic disease management. They will consider providers for a minimum of 3 days/week if they are local and do not require housing. They maybe caring for same day walk in patients.
• EMR: EPIC
• Special Procedures: Basic bread and butter procedures. Injections, IUD placement, minor wound care.
• Skills Required: Expected to hit ground running. Will be a 1 week ramp up with onsite orientation but will be expected to begin patient care by day 3.
• Required: Board Certified, WA state license, DEA Covid and Flu vaccinated
• If any certs are required, provider will be responsible for obtaining. (BLS, ACLS, etc.),
• MUST have minimum of 2 years experience and face to face patient contact within past year.
• Spanish or Russian speakers are a plus.
