MUST already be licensed in Alaska
4-day work week!
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our practice full time in Anchorage, AK. We are seeking a candidate who is already licensed to practice in AK, to join our group, providing the highest level of care within our community, helping our patients with acute or chronic pain return to a better quality of life. We prefer a Physician Assistant who has two years of experience as PA, preferably in clinic setting but we will consider motivated new grads. Ideally, the incoming candidate has a desire to learn and grow, is able and willing to work independently and as a team member and has an impeccable bedside manner.

For over twenty years, we have been in the business of relieving pain and restoring function to our community. A multidisciplinary approach to treatment is our gold standard when it comes to helping our patients with acute and chronic pain. We use a multidisciplinary, multimodal approach, partnering with other healthcare practitioners, with the aim of providing excellent care and returning patients to the level of functioning they desire. We are predominantly an interventional pain clinic.
Duties:
- Conducts physical exams, assesses health status, orders and interprets tests, prescribes medications, and treats illnesses including giving injections and suturing wounds. Consults with physicians as needed and refers to physicians for more complicated medical cases or cases that are not a routine part of a PA's scope of work.
- Implements physician directives.
- Monitors therapies and provides continuity of care.
- Triages patient calls and evaluates patient problems. Responds to emergencies including use of CPR as needed.
- Counsels’ patient/family on pain management health care-plan.
- Documents patient information and care in medical record and may maintain department statistical database for research purposes.
- Serves as on-call provider contact for after hours and weekend call, consulting with physicians as needed (phone calls are infrequent and rarely occur)
- Completes in-person or virtual visits
- Marketing to grow practice
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program (PA)
- National certification from the National Commission on Certification of PAs
- Current Alaska State PA license is required
- Current DEA certification
Salary (range):
- $120k to $140k
Schedule:
- Monday - Thursday. 33hrs/week
- Monday – weekly care plan meeting with physicians and PTs
