University is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant Provider to help grow their Heart and Vascular Program for Mechanical Circulatory Support. The team consists of highly experienced physicians, surgeons, APPs, nurses, social workers, researchers and others. The program is nationally known for cutting edge support in both the outpatient and inpatient setting and offers a variety of support systems (long-term and short-term). The APP will be responsible for coordinating the care of patients in the hospital setting and will work closely with Advanced Heart Failure, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Intensive Care teams along with case management, social workers and other multidisciplinary teams. Minimum Requirements: 5 years of experience as a Physician Assistant working in a critical care and/or cardiac intensive care setting, APA recognized graduate master’s degree as a physician assistant, Active Physician Assistant CA license, Active American Heart Association CPR, Active American Heart Association ACLS certification, National Board Certification, CA DEA license, APA recognized graduate Master’s Degree program as a physician Assistant, flexibility to orient and work at all University locations, Flexibility to work varying schedules days/nights/weekends/holidays/rotations.
