Physician Assistant OR Nurse Practitioner Chicago, IL
We are looking for a motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our medical practice full time in Chicago, IL. Ideally, the incoming Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is driven and committed to providing high quality care, has knowledge of basic ER, internal medicine, generalist, occupational medicine, and family practice procedures and clinical experience in an emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care setting is preferred. Must be fluent in Spanish.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide and manage direct patient care, Including physical examinations, evaluations, assessment, diagnoses and treatment.
- Order diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, electrocardiogram and laboratory test and interpret test results.
- Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medication and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
- Communicate with patients regarding testing results, follow-up care, and additional information
- Communicate patient needs, diagnosis, and course of treatment to the patient, company, as well as other clinical staff and instruct and educate patients about discharge instructions if applicable
- Collaborate with the physicians, other PA’s, and office staff for comprehensive patient care
- Documentation- timely and accurate (EMR)
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate in Spanish (indispensable)
- Experience with electronic medical record strongly preferred
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Must have and maintain a DEA license with no restrictions
- Must possess a current license to practice medicine in the IL and IL Controlled Substance License along with Federal DEA license
- Clinical experience in an emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care setting is preferred
- Knowledge of basic ER, internal medicine, generalist, occupational medicine, and family practice procedures
Schedule:
- Full time with alternating weekend coverage (Saturday)
- When covering Saturdays, will have off 1 day during the week
Salary (range):
- $120k-$135k (DOE)
