Physician Assistant OR Nurse Practitioner Canton, MA
We are looking for a compassionate and energetic Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our urgent care center group part time in Canton, MA. We are looking to fill a part-time position, 2 days per week. You will find a supportive and welcoming team to work alongside you within our fast-moving Urgent Care Center. The provider will be required to see and treat a wide variety of health care issues in patients of all ages and perform usual urgent care duties including diagnosing, treating common illnesses as well as perform procedures like I&D, casts, IV fluids etc.

Our team provides fast, friendly, and welcoming service 7 days a week so that our patients can get care when they need it. The talented medical team diagnoses and treat a variety of illnesses and injuries from ear infections, flu, rashes, sore throats, to broken bones and sprains. We provide convenient medical services including physicals, x-rays, lab testing and vaccinations. Our Patients health and comfort is our team’s top priority.
Duties:
- Performs and documents history and physicals of walk-in patients
- Evaluates and treats common acute conditions, illnesses, or minor trauma
- Performs digital blocks and regional anesthesia, in-office minor procedures (ie, I&D, closed reducations, casts, IV fluids, etc)
- Order, collect and perform appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies, such as routine laboratory tests, EMG, electrocardiograms, and radiological examinations including arthrogram practices
- Consistently and accurately documents all calls, treatments, medications, etc. in patient chart
- Instructs and counsels patients regarding diagnosis and follow up steps
- Responds to all patient questions
- Assists physicians in addressing urgent patient needs as necessary
- Collaboration with the physicians, midlevel providers, and support staff for comprehensive care
- Performs other duties/projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Physician Assistant Degree graduating from an Accredited Program or Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
- Unrestricted PA/NP License in MA
- State DEA license
- Knowledge of basic ER, internal medicine, generalist, occ medicine, and family practice procedures
- Ability to use nebulizer, EKG, etc.
Schedule:
- 2 days per week
Salary (range):
- $60-$65 per hour (depending on experience)
