Job Description
Physician Assistant Monroe, NC (30 miles SE of Charlotte)
We are looking for an ambitious Physician Assistant to join our group full time in Monroe, NC. The ideal Physician Assistant is driven with a hardworking attitude, has ambition to expand their role, and has experience with infusions. Experience with outpatient clinical trials is preferred. While office management will provide support and training, the incoming Physician Assistant will be expected to be capable of working independently and take full ownership/responsibility of their work, while working alongside a diverse and respected group of physicians and clinicians. This is a unique opportunity to participate in clinical trials. As such, the PA will not be managing patients medical care outside of the study protocol. Physicals performed will be focused, and will require the PA to take vitals, perform ekg’s and blood draws (not limited to those procedures).

Responsibilities:
- Discuss medical aspects of studies with patients
- Function as a back-up for the physicians when necessary for Sponsor discussions
- Assess patient health through interviews and focused physical examinations
- Performing study procedures and collecting data from patients participating in a clinical trial including: (Procedures may include: Blood draws, ECGs, breathing tests, vital signs, etc.)
- Administered injections, immunizations, and other medical procedures
- Review and assess medical records and results. Examples to include: laboratory results, ECG readings, spirometry results, scales/questionnaires or other medical tests
- Sign off on other coordinator visits
- Medical discussions with coordinators and managers to get information for investigators to help guide decisions
- Prescribe medications as needed/approved to treat adverse events
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Licensed Physician Assistant in NC
- Experience with Infusions and other study related procedures preferred
Salary:
- $100k-$110k per year plus bonus (DOE)
