Seeking full-time Physician Assistant or Acute Care Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to support Stroke andamp; Neurointervention team. The stroke team has 4 physicians and#8211; 2 of which are neurointerventionalists who specialize in intracranial clot removal in emergent large vessel occlusion strokes. We are recruiting a team of four (4) inpatient APPs who will work alongside the physicians to run the Stroke Service, to include, but not be limited to: Treating ICU and surgical patients, attending emergent Stroke codes and floor patients. This role is responsible for responding to the stroke codes during daytime hours to help provide emergent care for suspected stroke patients. APPs are trained to read neuro imaging including CTand#8217;s, MRIand#8217;s, interpret necessary lab works. Initial training period the schedule will be five 8-hour shifts then will transition to four 10-hour shifts. Qualifications: Licensure, Education, Certifications, and Clearances PA:and#8239; A graduate of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the physician assistant (ARC-PA) is required BS or MS candidate is preferred Experience as a physician assistant and/or experience in a clinical setting is preferred Current state PA license certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required Current CPR certification is required Act 34 Clearance required CRNP:and#8239; The successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program is required BSN, MSN is preferred Professional nursing experience and/or nurse practitioner experience is preferred Current state RN license and CRNP certification are required National certification, eligible for licensure by Pennsylvania board of nursing, eligible for certification as a CRNP by Pennsylvania state board of nursing Current CPR certification is required Act 34 Clearance required The Community: The area provides an opportunity to celebrate the change of seasons, appreciate an outdoor lifestyle, and enjoy a balance between work and play.
