A health system is seeking a hospitalist nurse practitioner for locum tenens coverage.

This opportunity offers an established hospitalist service with 2 physicians and 4 Advanced Practice Providers at The Outer Banks Health Hospital. The average inpatient census is 17-21, with APPs seeing 8-10 patients per day. Admissions average 4-6 during the day and 5-7 at night. There are no critical care responsibilities, though locums will respond to codes (excluding the ED) and consult on holds in the ED. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. The medical staff includes specialties such as General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Cardiology, Orthopedics, ENT, Primary Care, and Oncology.
Dates Needed: May 4-Sept 4 *with the possibility to extend coverage further
