A facility is seeking an internal medicine nurse practitioner for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in Yuma, AZ.
This 13-week (or longer) assignment begins ideally on February 3rd, 17th, or 24th, with credentialing completed within a month. The schedule is Monday through Friday, working 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with 3-4 days of in-person home health visits and 1-2 days remote. Hours are guaranteed, including paid drive time. Open to NPs/PAs only, the role involves caring for 4-6 adult patients daily, all with chronic kidney disease, focusing on post-hospitalization visits, initial assessments, and follow-ups. Bilingual candidates are required for the Yuma location, and experience in nephrology or complex disease management is highly preferred. An Arizona license, DEA certification, and COVID or flu vaccination are required. MD oversight is provided, and the EMR systems used are Athena and Salesforce.
