A women's geriatric facility is seeking a family medicine physician associate for locum tenens coverage.
Discover serene lakes, wooded hills, and endearing towns in the heart of central Minnesota.
The position offers a flexible 4-day work week, with 10-hour shifts, where the specific days of the week are flexible. The facility operates from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., though additional hours before or after this time can be worked. The on-call schedule is phone-only, with a 1-week rotation from Monday to Sunday (8 p.m. to 6 a.m.), and during a 6-month assignment, you would typically only be on call 2-3 times. The average number of patients per day is 18-22, mostly women aged 65 and up. The required certifications include an MN License and DEA, and the role utilizes Athena and Ambiance dictation services for EMR. Ideal candidates should have 3-5 years of experience and be comfortable with follow-ups, annual wellness visits, and new patient visits.
