A 320-bed Children's Hospital is seeking a neonatal perinatal nurse practitioner for locum tenens coverage. This is a teaching hospital setting with a 100+ bed NICU. The EMR is EPIC.

The Level IV NICU has 102 beds and serves 10 patients daily, focusing on high-risk deliveries during night shifts. Key procedures include ECMO (involving only MDs and fellows), some surgeries, therapeutic cooling, and intubations, but not PICC lines or chest tubes. Evidence-based medicine is prioritized, with one physician supervising two advanced practice providers (APPs). Shifts run for 12.5 hours from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., including sign-out time.
