Obstetrics - NP job located in Austin, Texas

(Login for Information) has a new day shift opening at St. David's Medical Center in Austin, Texas. This is an established program between (Login for Information) and HCA staffed with internal medicine hospitalists and nocturnists that are all local to Austin. Our physicians work a traditional 7-on, 7-off schedule with shifts from 7am to 7pm for our daytime hospitalists. 

St. David's Medical Center has 426 beds, open ICU but our physicians are not required to do procedures or round on ICU patients; we do take admissions back. During the day shift (7a-7p) there are a total of 2 APCs and 8 physicians working; 7 of the rounding physicians with 1 admitter (each day-hospitalist does this every 3-4 months). The daily rounding census averages around 20-22 encounters per physician, expecting 16 admissions for the AM admitter and APCs and there are on average 12-14 admissions at night that are covered by 1 physician and 1 APC. Each provider will respond to their patients for codes, but we have an in-house rapid response team assisting on all codes. The EMR at all campuses is Meditech.
