Job Description
(Login for Information) has an excellent opportunity for a full-time internal medicine (IM) trained physician only to join our stable and established hospital medicine (HM) program at Hendrick Medical Center North in Abilene, Texas. Hendrick Medical Center is a 522-bed hospital with a closed ICU.
Enjoy a block schedule of 7 days on, 7 days off with the support of a 9 day shift physicians, 1 day shift APC, 1 swing shift physician, 1 swing shift APC, 1 nocturnist physician and 2 nocturnist APCs. Our daytime clinicians see an average census of 17-22 per day to include 1-2 admissions. Hospitalists do respond and run codes on their own patients but are not part of the hospital's code team. Procedures are not required for this position but can be done if credentialed for them. The EMR utilized throughout the Hendrick System is All-Scripts.
