Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Locums Job in New York City
Position Highlights:
--Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
--Workplace Flexibility: Begin your day in the office or community, then complete your work from home or another suitable location.
Key Responsibilities:
--Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and monthly assessments in the community.
--Prescribe and manage medications using e-prescribing and monitor patient responses.
--Collaborate with ACT team nurses on medication management, including ordering tests, managing prior authorizations, and administering injectables as needed.
--Coordinate care with families and community providers, including hospitals, housing agencies, shelters, criminal justice personnel, and primary care providers.
Key Requirements:
--Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NYS).
--Experience working with young adults (ages 18-25) with serious mental illness, co-occurring substance abuse, and limited social support, who may also be justice-involved or homeless.
--NY Medicaid credentials
--Preferred (but not required): Bilingual Spanish-speaking skills.
