Northern Light Acadia Hospital in Bangor, Maine is seeking a board-certified Family Medicine, Adult Geriatric, or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to participate in the federally funded Rural Dementia Training Project via a grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
This Nurse Practitioner will spend one year in our Mood and Memory Clinic gaining the skills and knowledge necessary to become successful in providing clinical assessment and treatment to persons with late-life and early-onset neurocognitive disorders.
Details:
- 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner is required
- HRSA grant allows for a full-time salary and benefits comparable to Nurse Practitioners at Northern Light Acadia Hospital
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p
- Practice under the supervision of the Clinical Director (Neuropsychiatrist), Outpatient Medical Director (Geriatric Psychiatrist), and a doctoral-level PMH-NP
- Responsibilities include seeing patient in the Mood and Memory Clinic, participating in didactic education, attending seminars and case supervision, as well as inpatient consults
