Job Description
A leading healthcare system in South Carolina is seeking a Pulmonary Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join their dynamic team. This role focuses on providing comprehensive pulmonary care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
Position Highlights:
- Primarily outpatient care with occasional inpatient consult support
- Monday-Thursday: 8 AM - 5 PM, Friday: 8 AM - 12 PM
- 36 patient contact hours, 4 admin hours per week
- Call schedule: 1:5 rotation
- Work alongside 4 experienced pulmonologists, a dedicated nurse, respiratory therapists, and other specialists
- Average patient volume: 18-25 per day
- Common conditions treated: COPD, asthma, sleep apnea, lung infections, interstitial lung disease
- Procedures include: Pulmonary function tests (PFTs), oxygen therapy evaluations, CPAP/BiPAP management, and more
- Cerner EMR
