Seeking a Full-Time Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to join our collaborative Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery program in Altoona, PA. Hours: Monday-Friday, daylight possible 8- or 10-hour shifts. Occasional weekend rounding. Position Specifics: Hospital rounding, outpatient clinic and telemedicine consultation. Department Details: Collaborative HVI Cardiac and Thoracic model of care to create innovative collaboration and enhance patient care. Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of experience or Completion of a post-graduate residency The successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner or a graduate of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the physician assistant (ARC-PA) program is required BSN, MSN preferred for CRNP, BS or MS preferred for PA Completion of National Certificationand#8239; Must achieve a Solid/Strong/Good performance rating or higher on annual performance evaluation for consideration and to maintain status annually Completion of an OAPP approved professional contribution within one year of hire or promotion into the position.and#8239; Must have department chair approval for promotion ACLS orand#8239;ITLS orand#8239;NALS orand#8239;PALS orand#8239;ACLS or other certifications listed must meet AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.and#8239; The Community: The area provides an opportunity to celebrate the change of seasons, appreciate an outdoor lifestyle, and enjoy a balance between work and play.
