Orthopedic Surgery APP Locums Job in Colorado | December 30-January 20
Schedule for Assignment #106390:
--December 30, 2024 - January 20, 2025
--Monday-Friday only - 7am-5pm - Onsite
--Monday-Friday - 5pm-7am - Night call
--Sat/Sun - 7am-7am - 24 hour call
--Shifts include up to 4 onsite weekday shifts with 2 night call shifts during the week & sporadic weekend call coverage
--AANP/NCCA Certified - required
--Active Colorado License - required or IMLC (LOQ in hand at time of submission)
--Active Colorado DEA - required for credentialing (site will consider a transferred DEA, however, must keep this DEA for the duration of the assignment, not just for shifts worked.)
--Must acknowledge candidate understands the EMR training requirements set forth in job description and will complete in this order to avoid missing their start date - required
--Must disclose the specific shifts you can offer to the team December 30, 2024 - January 20, 2025
--Minimum of 2 years of Orthopedic APP experience preferably in an acute setting
--Clean MP/background - highly preferred
--Setting: Inpatient, Call Trauma Level III
--EMR: Epic
--Number of beds: 34
Required Procedures/Job Duties:
--Provide comprehensive acute care to patients with orthopedic conditions, including but not limited to the following:
--Assist with the surgical management of acute orthopedic patients, including pre- and post-operative care
--First assist in Orthopedic surgeries
--Round on our inpatients, contributing to the provision of high quality and coordinated care
--Consult on ER patients, providing diagnosis, appropriate plans of care and referrals as appropriate
--Order, interpret and analyze diagnostic tests
--Prescribe and administer medications and physical therapy as necessary
--Splint, cast and brace injuries as indicated; perform wound closures and dressing changes
--Primary point of contact and assumes responsibilities for managing the care for patients.
--Take 1st call - after hours and weekends included for all patients on service (ICU/Floor/Tele and after hours for answering service for clinic patients).
--Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement for patient care.
--Work within a multidisciplinary team.
--Additional duties as assigned by clinical or operational leadership
