A mid-sized hospital is seeking a Trauma Surgery Nurse Practitioner for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in Michigan.
This inpatient role has no call, with holiday coverage only if it falls within the rotation. The schedule is 7 on/7 off, 6 PM6 AM, starting 2/24/2025, with an ongoing need. Responsibilities include managing inpatient admissions and consults for trauma, general surgery, and urology, responding to Level I and II traumas, and serving as the first call for all inpatient surgical services. Required skills include suturing, central lines, arterial lines, and tube placements. Additional duties involve evaluating surgical consults, troubleshooting Foley catheters, and assisting with bedside procedures. Proctoring requires a minimum of five per procedure.
