A facility is seeking a Trauma Surgery Nurse Practitioner for locum tenens coverage.
Some popular sights in eastern Missouri include Elephant Rocks State Park, Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park, or Battle of Pilot Knob State Historic Site.
This position requires 14, 12-hour shifts per month, covering nights, weekends, and holidays, due to a Trauma follow-up clinic that can't be covered during the day by locums. The provider will manage Trauma and Acute Care Surgery patients, including admissions, discharges, and daily care in collaboration with attending physicians. Previous ICU, OR, and procedural skills are preferred. Responsibilities include bedside procedures such as arterial line placement, intubation, central line insertion, chest tube placement, fracture reduction, and resuscitation. The position is at a Level 3 trauma facility using Epic EMR. Only Missouri-licensed candidates will be considered.
