Our urology specialty clinic is seeking a nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join the team. This is a full time employment position through (Login for Information) Medical Group. The urology team provides a full range of services to diagnose and treat a variety of genitourinary problems such as: bladder cancer, prostate cancer, prostatitis, urinary retention and frequency, nocturia, kidney stones, renal failure, masses and growths, chronic UTI's and hematuria.
The Advanced Practitioner will:
- Gather medical history and physical data on patients
- Perform a complete physical exam, interpret and integrate patient data to determine appropriate diagnostic & therapeutic plans and procedures, and record findings
- Consult with other caregivers to coordinate patient care
- Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostics
- Administer injections, immunizations and oral medications
- Procedures performed include: catheter changes, urodynamics (UDS), percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS).
- Prepare written prescription orders for drugs, controlled substances and advise patients regarding health and illness prevention.
Requirements: Current licensure as an NP or PA. Graduation from an accredited NP or PA training program and certified by an accredited certification agency; Current CPR Certification. 2+ years of experience preferred: May consider new graduates.
