Physician Assistant OR Nurse Practitioner (Wound Care) Fresno CA
$85 per hour
We are looking for an experienced Wound Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our medical group in Fresno, CA. We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner who is compassionate, caring, optimistic, self-motivated, gets excited about a challenge with a willingness to learn. Must be a team player who has a genuine interest in helping others. The ideal candidate will possess specialized knowledge in wound management and demonstrate expertise in providing comprehensive care to patients with acute and chronic wounds. This position will require the incoming PA or NP to travel to different locations, providing mobile wound care potentially within clinics, long term care facilities, in home, and nursing homes. This job will start off as a part time position with the potential to increase hours as the patient base increases.

Duties:
- Assessing and evaluating wounds to determine the appropriate treatment plan.
- Implementing evidence-based wound care protocols and techniques.
- Performing wound debridement, dressing changes, advanced biologics, and other wound care procedures.
- Monitoring and documenting wound healing progress.
- Educating patients, caregivers, and healthcare staff on wound management techniques and prevention strategies.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensure in California.
- Certification in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing (WOCN) preferred.
- Clinical experience in wound care
- Proficiency in wound assessment, treatment modalities, and wound care products.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
Salary:
- $85 per hour
Schedule:
- Part time with potential to increase to full time
